Unity February Challenge

The challenge over at Unity this month is to make a card using HEARTS but no red or pink hearts so I pulled out some DCWV textured cardstock and an assortment of heart stamps from Unity to put together this card for the challenge. The patterned paper is from Simple Stories and mounted on a white mat and kraft card base. I stamped the hearts with Choc Chip ink and cut them out then mounted them on a paper doily. Some of the hearts are mounted with foam dimensionals for some visual interest. The finishing touches are a little white gel pen detail on the main heart and a ribbon bow with a button center.

The main focal heart "you deserve happy" is from the Stamp of the Week program (week #6), the "hugs" stamp is from the Forever Friends set and the other one is from a grab bag that I got from Unity.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a great day. Happy Stamping!

Butterfly Kisses

Today's card features the Butterfly Kisses stamp set from The Craft's Meow. The papers are from Basic Grey's Capella collection with a card base of Kraft from Papertrey Ink. The girl was stamped on PTI Rustic Cream cardstock, fussy cut and then mounted to the card with foam dimensionals. The doily is from a bunch that I picked up at an estate sale.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. Happy Stamping!

Happy Valentine's Day

I don't have a card to share today but I have a photo of some of my valentine decorations and the canvas treat holder that I sewed for my daughter. I used pinking shears to cut out the heart shape and sewed a pocked on the front then embellished it with an assortment of flowers and hearts made from felt and ribbon. The sentiment flag is a stamp from A Muse Studio.

Wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are able to spend it with those you love. Happy Stamping/Crafting!

Valentine Treats

This weekend I put together 20 Valentine treats for my nieces, nephews and my friend's children. On Sunday, my husband and I delivered them all. I used the Party Favor #1 and Heart die cuts from Clear and Simple Stamps. I ran the cardstock through my Cuttlebug with the Party Favor #1 die and then again with the heart die. Next I doodled around the heart with a white gel pen and then I added a piece of clear cardstock from Papertrey Ink to the inside front panel to cover the heart cutout. I also added a smaller die cut heart to the clear window and then spelled out each child's name with letter stickers from October Afternoon. For the finishing touches, I filled them with candy and tied ribbon and bakers twine to the handles.

You can find a similar version of these Valentine treats on this post.

Thank you so much for stopping. I hope you're week is off to a good start. Happy Stamping!

Happy

Just a quick post to share this card I put together after being inspired by Jennifer McGuire's card. I stamped some of the hearts from Papertrey Ink's Heart Prints set in white pigment ink on a kraft layer. Then I stamped the Happy Happy Happy stamp from Unity with Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder on a strip of pink from Basic Grey's Kissing Booth collection. Instead of making my own flower like in Jennifer's video, I just added a Recollections flower that I had in my stash. I mounted the piece to a white card base and rounded to corners on the cardbase.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Superbowl Sunday!

Birthday Wishes

Today's card has a little bit of everything, a border die and frame die with matching stamp from Papertrey Ink, heart dies from Clear and Simple Stamps, a sentiment stamp from Lil' Inker Designs, papers from Crate Paper, ribbon flower from American Crafts, leaf die from Spellbinders and some gemstones from Michael's. I really like the way all of these different elements came together on this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you're having a great weekend. Happy Stamping!

Stamp of the Week #4

Today's card uses the fun bicycle stamp from Unity's Stamp of the Week #4. I paired it with some of the papers from the Echo Parks Times and Seasons collection. I used the large scallop die from A Muse Studio to create my border and also added a button for fun.

I think this stamp will see a lot of ink at my house. I'm really enjoying the Stamp of the Week program and getting a little package each week. Sometimes when you place an order and get several sets at one time it feels kind of overwhelming but when you just get one at a time you can just focus on that one stamp. It seems to be working well for me.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope your week is wrapping up nicely. Happy Stamping!

Trust with your Heart

Are you familiar with Unity's Stamp of the Week offering? This card uses the stamp from Week 3. I paired it with a variety of papers from Crate Paper's Random collection and a heart die from Clear and Simple Stamps.

For my second card, I used papers from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Two "Blush" collection, some vintage lace, bakers twine and Petite type alphabet stickers from Authentique. Apparently I was channeling Yoda when I made the second card and got the idea to change up the message.

That's it from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you're having a great week. Happy Stamping!

Direction of your Heart

Today's card uses the Direction of your Heart stamp from Unity. I stamped the image and sentiment on PTI Rustic Cream cardstock and then added a little color with Copics. The edges of both pieces were sponged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink before being adhered to the card. I used my Spellbinder heart and circle dies and Clear and Simple Stamps heart dies with an assortment of felt colors to create my embellishments. I added some machine stitching on a couple of the hearts and some hand sewing (including french knots) to my circle stacks for some extra detail. The background paper is from the My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Two "Breeze" collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. Happy Stamping!
